Designing a community experience from the ground up

To foster connection with our Pasadena community, EF Academy partnered with EF Pro Cycling to host a large-scale, family-friendly event that welcomed more than 300 attendees to our campus. As EF Academy’s first major community engagement event, the goal was to open our gates, showcase our facilities, and create an experience that reflected the school’s values of global connection and active learning.

I led the concept development, creative direction, and production planning for the event in collaboration with EF’s Director of PR. Together, we managed over a dozen vendors, including In-N-Out Burger, a local coffee cart, a floral design station, and community partners that helped bring the day to life. I designed all event materials—signage, flyers, schedules, social ads, and onsite branding—and directed the photography and videography to ensure a cohesive visual story.

The result was a vibrant and inclusive event that transformed the EF Academy campus into a hub of activity and connection. Families met with our enrollment team, students built bikes for charity alongside professional riders, and the EF Pro Cycling partnership came to life in a tangible, community-centered way that deepened EF Academy’s presence in Pasadena.
